Warehouse Laborer
Winterville,
United States
We are currently looking to fill 3 positions on site at our Georgia warehouse. One to two of these positions are seasonal and only needed for 2 months. The third position is more permanent.
Position 1: Evening shift
This person needs to be capable, self-sufficient, able to be self-motivated without a lot of oversight, tech-savvy, and able to run both a printing press and booklet maker machine. Training will be given on the equipment, but we do need someone who isn't overwhelmed by technicalities and can learn quickly and be comfortable working alone. This shift will be from around 4pm to 9pm Monday-Friday and will involve keeping the printer filled with paper (and handling any paper jams, toner replacement, etc.), binding books, making booklets, and scanning stock into inventory. This is a temporary position and will be needed for July and August (possibly September as well depending on availability).
Position 2: Temporary Part-time
Our second position will be during the day and we are flexible as to what that will look like. Full time might be great, but we could even do a part time position for this. This position would likely be using an ipad and scanner to pick orders. Other duties might include vacuuming/light cleanup, binding books, making boxes, taping boxes, etc. Should be able to carry a box of curriculum books comfortably.
Position 3: Permanent Position
Long-term, we need another person at our warehouse likely in a more full time capacity (6-8 hours a day, 5 days a week). This person would be trained on all aspects of the warehouse, but their primary duties would include keeping the printer going during the day, binding books, helping with shipping and receiving, taping and making boxes, quality control checking orders (scanning them in), updating inventory, making booklets, packaging orders, light daily clean up tasks, etc.
Our company has a strong value system of building up the next generation, and as such, our warehouse is currently overseen by our 17-year-old daughter. Not everyone can work under a teenager, and I want to be up front about it so that you know what you are getting yourself into. We are also currently looking for primarily women in order to not put anyone in an uncomfortable position.
We aim to keep our warehouse environment fun and upbeat, God-honoring (we crank the worship music), and lighthearted. We pray over our books and the families who will receive them, we talk while we work, we go out for lunches, and we honor and respect one another. If this sounds like the place for you, apply now! We are in pressing need and would love to bring you in for an interview. May God direct your steps.
